I'm not really sure of what to think of this picture. The quality isn't great, it's a little blurry and you can't see the horse's eye which probably bothers me most.
But for some reason I still like it... ;)

Edit:
Just some explanations because I was too lazy to look up all the words yesterday ;)
The horse in the photo is a vaulting horse during training. It has a surcingle on it's back and two pairs of side reins. This is simply because the vaulters were taking turns vaulting in walk and canter. So they used the shorter side reins for canter and the longer lauffer rein (I think that's what they're called) for the walk.
I'm not sure about the length of the side reins, I'm not an expert on horses or vaulting. In the photo the horse is standing, waiting for the vaulters to take off the shorter side reins and holding it's head very low, so the side reins do look very short.

I'm sorry, this is not a stock image. If you want to use it as a reference for a drawing it woul be okay, but no photomanipulations, please.
Thank you for asking, though! Maybe there is a picture in my stock folder you could use?

Rollkur... Uhg.
Haha, lovely shot though! Really captures the moment and the work with all the sweat on the horse.

I agree... Lol I HATE when people tie down horses heads, like how would you like it if someone tied your head DOWN while your trying to excerise? My pony gets round perfectly fine without any type of martengale/side reins or tie down.

I like this. It kind of shows how loyal horses can be with human, though all the stuff they have to wear they will not disobey! Stunning and definately a :+fav: !

I am taken with this I see it as a piece of art in a way! not being able to see the eye leaves you guessing and as for the leather that is what adds to this photo.. I think it is great! thou the horse probably don't but that is another thing!... captured well!

Ok... The horse and the photo both are beatuiful but i think there is too much tack on this horse i can see a bridle sidereins a saddle and a lunge line... I'm not a very big fan of side reins... I just use the standard brest plate & occasional tiedown... but none the less a beatuiful shot... is this your horse?

Thank you for the comment! I added a little bit of explanation about all the reins above. Sadly this isn't my horse, it's the vaulting horse from a club near where I live. ;)

Personally, though not seeing the horses eye can be taken as rather provocative with all that leather. You could easily look at this as more of a piece that speaks. Personally though, I love all the leather and tack on the horse...but I am weird and love all sorts of leathery bits.

;) Thank you for the comment! First I didn't really see it as provocative, but you're right! Never looked at it that way :)

It reminded me of a psychologist talking about little kids who have been abused. When drawing the eyes on the "victim" figures they're barely even dots.

Too much tack on one horse for my liking. But it's a nice capture nonetheless.
