I do know how to use the clone tool but since this picture is stock I really don't care what the background looks like. If someone uses the picture, they will look at the horse as a reference for a drawing or simply cut it out to put in front of another background, so I don't see the need in investing time fixing the background that no one will look at twice (well, in this case at least you looked at it twice and were amused by it, so even better!).
